Baby Dayz

I actually snapped these pics a couple of days ago...but...as usual....haven't had a chance to get on here and post them for you all to see. Yes, the little man is actually sucking his toes! LOL! Of course it's only cute to see a little baby do this! So, I think I'm okay posting these! Also, I don't think that E & A did this at this age. Or maybe it's been too long since we had baby days with them...not sure. I've also included a photo of "the famous lip". We've decided hands down that Ian is definitely the cutest baby in the world when he does "the lip". Stay tuned....school photos of the big boys will be posted next. Rumor has it that they're in!

Getting Ready for Halloween!

Well, just a few more days and Halloween will be here. Our church is having a "trunk or treat" that I think we're going to go check out after walking around the base we live on....all of us in our Star Wars costumes (of course!). Here is a photo of the jack-o-lantern that Ruben carved today with the boys. We decided to make him a happy pumpkin and E & A named him "One Tooth" since that's all the teeth Daddy gave him! LOL! Sounds like a pirate name to me! After that, the Blanchongs came over and we shared a yummy prime rib dinner together. The boys challenged "Mr. Ruben" to a light sabor fight after dinner and he surprised them all by putting on his Darth Vader costume! LOL! I think "someone" is just a little bit excited about his Halloween costume this year! Baby Ian is doing great with his solid foods and sitting in his high chair. Such a good baby, so far he has eaten everything we've offered him. I snapped this pic of him this evening with his face all messy- I couldn't resist! Ruben leaves town again this Saturday - this time he is headed back to Thailand. More later on.....

Ruben's Back in Oki!

Well, my hubby made it home safe and sound today! Yeah! All is right in the world when we're together as a family. This single mommy gig is for the birds! LOL! I've posted a pic of what he looks like right now....hmmm....what a surprise! Not! Of course the pic is a few months old and Baby Ian is actually in his own crib as I type this...but you get the idea! All I'm hearing is "zzzzzzz" as he cuts down Sherwood Forest! Ha! I think I'll be doing the same after I finish this up. Nighty-night! More tomorrow....God willing. :-)

Terry's Birthday

Well, I really thought that my birthday would be rather uneventful this year with Ruben away and being on my own with the boys....but Nikki wasn't having any of that! The day started out with her kidnapping Evan & Ayden and taking them out shopping. My "Big Boys" bought me a beautiful opal ring and these lovely flowers....what a surprise! After that, Nikki's wonderful hubby Russell kept 5 out of 6 kids (yes, we have 6 between the 2 families) while "just the girls" went to CoCo's for what else...Okinawan pedicures of course!! As you can see, we all decided to go for some sort of Halloween design since we're planning to be back there again on November 1st for Nikki's birthday! Check out the pics of our cool toes! I love the inherited space between Nikki and Ella's toes! LOL! You can tell that's her momma for sure! :-) After that, we came back to get all "the boys" and headed over to Chili's on Kadena for dinner! YUM! Of course I had to snap a picture of the "ring leader" of my very special day. Thanks again Nikki, you're the best!

Is it Fall yet??

Okay, so it's nearly mid-October and we are still burning up like it's mid-Summer here in Oki! LOL! This year we all have Halloween costumes. I can't believe we'll be wearing them in just 2 short weeks! Halloween is usually a holiday that we downplay in our house but, it's also a holiday that my husband just loves. Not the evil, scarey side of it but, the fun dressing up and begging for candy part! So, this year we've decided to dress as a family and we're all wearing characters from Star Wars. Ruben has chosen to be Darth Vader, of course I'm Princess Leia (who else would I be?) and we all agreed that Baby Ian should become "Baby Yoda"! After that, Evan and Ayden chose to be Anakin Skywalker and Chewbacca respectively! Of course you know that I'm thinking Chewbacca will be burning up under all that "fur" if we don't get some relief from this heatwave soon! Standby for our Star Wars pics once Ruben is back in town and we've had a chance to try them all on. In the meantime, I'm thinking *cool thoughts* for a comfy Halloween!
